Our approach to Merchandising is unlike any other retailer. From day one and throughout the entire, paid summer internship, you’ll experience classroom and on-the-job training that will help you understand how our business works and how Merchandising impacts the bottom line. Throughout the internship, there are many opportunities to Discover Different–by networking and interacting with all levels of management and participating in educational workshops, projects and team-building events. As an Intern, you will be assigned to a specific category of business within Buying. Placement is determined based on business needs. In a business where you never experience the same day twice, here is a sampling of how we’ll challenge you to think creatively and drive for results:/ Analyze sales reports and make recommendations in the business/ Build allocation strategies for our stores/ Accompany Buyers on local or on-site vendor visits/ Visit stores to analyze our product mix as well as our competitors/ Resolve merchandise issues with our Distribution Centers, Buyers, and Vendors/ Work with other Interns to complete a project within your business and present to upper management Who We Are Looking For: It Just Might Be You.This program is for self-starters who have a strong foundation of strategic and analytical thinking and are eager to put them to use in the world of business. Specifically, we are looking for:/ Strong ability to work with numbers, analyze data, and think critically/ Proficiency within Microsoft Office programs, high emphasis on Excel  / Genuine interest in retail, product, and in following trends/ Entrepreneurial spirit / Excellent communicators who work well in teams/ Proven leadership abilities and a strong work ethic/ Creative problem solvers  Key Qualifications/Expectations:/ Available for the full duration of the internship program during the summer of 2022./ Reliable transportation is required as TJX is not easily accessible to public transportation. A variable work schedule is part of role based on the needs of the business.
