Merchandise Planner

Our client is seeking a Merchandise Planner to join their team Our client is a luxury brand based in West Hollywood. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Merchandise Planner is responsible for Merchandise Sales Forecasting & Allocation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Forecast Sales and Inventory needs to support Store for assigned product categories. o Plan and Replenish inventory for Consignment Accounts as needed. · Analyze sales by product category to identify sales trends and inventory opportunities. o Provide updates to Chief Merchant and Head of Planning as needed. o Provide recaps to Founders and COO as requested based on business needs. · Manage inventory levels based on inventory turn guidelines for Stores and Factory. o Review current inventory and On Order levels and adjust as needed. o Manage new orders based on production lead time and forecasted demand o Includes cancellations, re-prioritizations and order additions. o Identify slow moving product and provide recommendations to improve turn. o Identify Aged inventory and get timely resolution of liquidation. o Manage Monthly Re-Routes back to factory or store to store. · Manage Allocation to ensure weekly flow of inventory to stores for new and ongoing products. o Provide weekly allocation updates. o Manage SKU Holds and New Item releases. o Communicate New Item releases to Stores and Sales Department. o Communicate priorities to Stockroom as needed. · Forecast and plan monthly replenishment of regular product. o Forecast blanks or raw materials as needed. · Forecast and plan for new item releases. o Adhere to deadlines on the published New Item Schedule. · Forecast and Plan for Drop Ship Product as needed. o Follow Purchasing timeline to ensure store allocations are completed in a timely manner. · Manage Production Priorities for Production. o Responsible for managing production priorities Apparel – Cut & Sew and Leather o Prioritize for Stores & Wholesale. Summarize data for the team. o Communicate priorities monthly. o Schedule and provide agenda for the weekly / monthly Production Touchbase Meeting. · Work with Chief Merchant to implement Merchandising Strategies and Special Projects as needed. · Manage and Maintain Product Part Status & Replenishment Codes. o Review core product and adjust assortment based on changes in demand/customer profile · Manage SKU Rationalization Process as needed. o Analysis by product class o Complete product books for Stark review. o Update Part Status & Replenishment codes Post-Meeting. o Coordinate Pullbacks from Stores of Discontinued Product. o Timely resolution of MELT or Write-off if needed. · Develop inventory plans for New Stores. · Maintain timely response of emails. · Communication to Stores as needed o Respond to monthly manager feedback for relevant categories
