Media Planner

Position Title: Media Planner
Description:
Participate in the day-to-day media planning process for Clients of responsibility

Responsibilities
Supports Supervisors and Directors in the development of agency’s media
planning product
Researches and gathers data to assist in the preparation of media planning documents
Aids in the development of target consumer profiles
Evaluates wide range of media vehicles to determine plan application
Calculates reach and frequency of potential media vehicles
Generates and maintains planning documents such as flowcharts, program POVs, market landscapes
Integrated planning for linear/cable TV, Radio, Streaming Video/Audio
Direct purchase of OOH, Direct Mail and Print vehicles
Helps in the development and maintenance of offline and online buying guidelines
Keeps current on media trends
Review the work of Asst Planner/Coordinator (invoice management, billing, communication to buyers, etc.)
Qualifications
Strong understanding of media planning fundamentals – targeting, channel strategies, plan development
Strong writing, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google skills
Proficient with industry systems and tools (e.g.

Media Tools, Scarborough, Simmons, Kantar, Clear Decisions (MarketMate), Freewheel (SBMS/Basis), Advantage, etc.)
Experience in Asian, African American and/or Hispanic multicultural planning a plus
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field
2-4 years agency/media planning experience
