The Boeing Company is looking for a Product Security Engineer to join our Program Infrastructure Team within Space Systems Verification and Test in El Segundo, CA . In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the DevSecOps, hardening, deployment, automation, and certification for Special Test Equipment Infrastructure in the factory and launch environments supporting Commercial and Government customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps and infrastructure, as well as a passion for security.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Lead Level Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:

Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources through the use of industry standard tools and processes used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support

Leads product security reviews of critical test equipment and infrastructure updates throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the implementation of security requirements early and ongoi

Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements

Defines and identifies product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing Special Test Equipment
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance/Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
-
Experience and ability to scan for vulnerabilities, implement mitigations, install, administer, and troubleshoot the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows & Linux Distributions (RHEL, Centos)
-
Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Kickstart, Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, and Azure DevOps

Experience and demonstrated understanding of configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Familiarity with automating current system processes and developing ideas to improve them

8570 Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CISSP etc.)

Current T5 Investigation (Single Scope Background Investigation)

Experience with the following:

UNIX/Linux shell scripts (C, Bourne, BASH)

Python script language

GitLab, GitHub, Jira, and their respective suites

Logging tools such as Nagios, Solar Winds, Splunk, etc., and repositories such as Nexus and Jfrog
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (Level 4)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Associate: $98,600 -$133,40
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $119.850 -$162,150
Summary pay range for Senior Level: $146,200 – $197,800
