– Erlanger, KYDepartment/Function:OperationsJob Description:Master Planner, Supply Chain – Erlanger, KYMAIN FUNCTION : This individual will report to the Planning Manager, this is an intermediate level position which is part of the planning team.
The position will be accountable for the coordination and planning of ingredients, intermediates, and sold products.
This individual will maintain planned inventory levels of materials to support key customers and internal production efficiencies.
The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders.
Additionally, this individual will be responsible for maintaining all customer requirements through efficient, cost effective Supply Chain execution.
As an intermediate role, this position requires an advanced level of strategic thinking, with a higher level understanding of production capabilities and employee development.KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES : Analytical Thinking Impact & Influence Achievement Orientation Information Seeking Conceptual Thinking Problem SolvingDESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED : Maintains extensive understanding of manufacturing capabilities and supply chain processes Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and helps facilitate change Proactively works with the Operations team to find short term efficiencies and long term process improvements Comprehensive understanding of raw materials utilized in production Develop and maintain inventory sheets for key customers Provide the necessary detail and visibility on planned production levels to internal stakeholders Maintain system attributes to drive production signals and maintain the best fit balance of materials Understand testing requirements (customer and internal) and their impact on the production schedule Utilization of MRP and system attributes to build the production schedule Monitor production through all responsible departments and react as necessary Facilitate communication of all production scheduling related customer delays Proficient understanding of all information systems and process connected to the supply chain value chain Attends internal training sessions to learn basic supply chain and system related skills Run all necessary reports to review material shortages Respond to all expedite requests in a timely manner and communicate customer order delay detail clearly and quickly Represents the planning team on focused customer and cross functional teams Works proactively to avoid challenges Approach diverse challenging situations with focus on customer order fulfillment and ADM’s best interest Develops a clear understanding and working knowledge of ADM information technology systems Understands and has strict adherence to corporate compliance policies & safety systems & programs Ensures that individual goals are aligned with company goals Constantly works on personal development within the company Develops understanding of local facility operations Works to develop positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions & responsibilities Effectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office & other locations Portrays a positive image of the company and self when interacting with colleagues Helps in the development & training of new employees Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekendsKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :University degree in supply chain or business (i.e.
economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the planning or scheduling of a manufacturing facility or multiple production lines.
