Document patientinformation accurately and in accordance with departmental and institutionalguidelines.
Respond and assist appropriately in emergency situations.QualificationsPossess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse ExaminersPossession of CPR certification/BCLS through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossPossession Phlebotomy and IV certificationKnowledge of normal and abnormal symptoms and life threatening medical problemsAbility to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medicationsAbility to obtain accurate vital signs and drug refillsAbility to use computerized patient care systemsKnowledge of medical terminologyInterpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, ancillary departments, physicians and co-workers in a courteous and compassionate mannerAbility to organize tasks to facilitate smooth work/patient flowKnowledge to schedule patient for referrals to specialistsAbility to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflowKnowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures within ones scope of practiceAbility to perform accurate quality control and patient sample testing for waived testsUCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
