In addition, the extraordinary communication, alignment, and support between all of these Team Leads is solidified through reporting together into the Vice President of Brand Development.Considering our unique structure, the right person to take on this Education leadership role, will feel both empowered by the chance to drive global brand growth yet impassioned by the opportunity to learn from the experiences of their partners.A team like no other.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Education Programming will be responsible for the creation, continuous development, and implementation of the Pulp Riot Events and Education processes, while aligning with the vision of their Creative Counterpart.
Utilizing internal staff resources, the network of creative artists, and leveraging the power of the Pulp Riot Brand, this individual will contribute to the development and competency of the Pulp Riot Global Education network, to assure brand consistency, and to assure artist growth within the Pulp Riot brand.
Additionally they will be instrumental in the creation of a strategic calendar of brand events and will be responsible for managing its execution, with the support of the education coordinators.The Director of Education Programming has 2 direct reports and works cross functionally with the other brand teams, as wells as sales, finance, and HR.This role:Reports directly into the Vice President of Brand Development.Helps develop and execute a process to assure an inspirational, concise, and consistent Pulp Riot educational message globally.Collaborates with sales, marketing and creative directors to establish an earned, virtual education offering that is an integral branch of the larger booth renter/suite program.Strategizes and coordinates ongoing technical development and competency for Education Managers and Artists globally, including but not limited to:Asseses the training requirements for the different markets to support sales goals.Supports the process for Creative Directors and Regional Trainers in recruiting and further developing a network of Educators, providing them a clear path for growth within Pulp Riot.Ensures accuracy of product information and training methods within the international markets.Ensures the deployment of market-specific training guides, developed and adapted in collaboration with their partner and team.Assists new product launches and renovations with educational strategies and training programsManages the planning of timely events, coordinates and communicates with both the brand teams and distribution partners, and works closely with finance to execute events within budget.
Job RequirementsCollege degree (BFA, BA, or similar) preferred and Cosmetology license highly recommended.A thorough understanding of educational programs and philosophies.Standard computer skills including Email, Word, Power Point, Excel and a willingness and aptitude for learning other forward-thinking applications adopted by the team.Superior presentation skills to produce and model effective classes, programs, events and meetings.Exceptional leadership skills to motivate staff and artists.An ability to communicate clearly with both written and oral skills.Flexibility (openness to change and new ideas).
Self-initiated career management (accountability for learning/acquiring skills needed to excel), and a willingness to embrace Pulp Riot’s vision and missionAbility to effectively manage and control a large budget while working alongside a large staff in cross-functional teamsExperience in hair color, hair care, and/or hair styling marketing preferred.Exceptional knowledge of the professional beauty industry, along with products and content that performs best, is important.
This includes understanding of metrics and performance measures for all distribution channels.Education Programing needs to have a proven track record of providing superb level of supervision and guidance to grow and develop a high-performance team.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCommunicate overall US education strategy and processes to key stakeholders (internal and external) and in collaboration, work to develop effective strategies to achieve annual budget and to influence innovation in all brand programs.Develop and ensure execution of training and artist development plans and timelines, help to build Pulp Riot community, and ensure brand consistency.Collaborate on the development and ensure execution of booth/suite earned virtual education program.Responsible for managing all financial aspects of education across channels and in the development, monitoring, reconciliation and senior management review of the departmental budget.Develop international education plan through collaborative effort with brand leaders and artists to drive sales and maintain effective brand image and innovation.
