We are Equity Smart Home Loans, a growing mortgage broker company based out of Los Angeles. We have been in business for 15 years and have carved a niche out for ourselves in the home loan industry. We are looking for loan officers, both new and experienced, who want to maximize their earning potential. We are serious about how we conduct business and we are looking for candidates who can bring in their self-driven personality to our team. If you are experienced, we give you the independence you want and the support services you need including a marketing and processing. If you are new, we have mentors who are able and willing to help you develop your client base as you work.
It is important to know that we create win/win situations for our clients and our Loan Officers. We have developed a significant base of lenders who we partner with regularly; we get rates that are always competitive and will give you the edge over other brokerages.
Lastly, we have locations all throughout Los Angeles County including: Los Feliz, City of Industry, South Pasadena, Encino, and Downey.
Important qualities in an Ideal Candidate:
Self-driven : We give our Loan Officers a great degree of independence with how they work. This means that how many loans you close will be a direct reflection of how driven you are and how quick you learn. This industry is not for everybody, however, if you are willing to put in the time and effort necessary you will be successful.
Accountable : With independence comes accountability. We expect everyone we work with to be professional in how they conduct business. This means being knowledgeable about the loan industry, doing business ethically,being punctual to meetings, and meeting deadlines.
Team Oriented : We want Loan Officers who work well in a team. You must communicate well with others, be punctual, and reliable.
Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
- Minimum 2-4 years of mortgage experience (will work with people who have little experience)
- Coachable and hard working.
- Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients, and vendors.
- Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
- Current Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through the NMLS required per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 – preferred but not required.
Pay Structure:
This position is entirely commission based and is dependent on the experience you bring.
