Academy Mortgage Corporation is currently seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic team The Loan Officer Assistant assists loan officer by reviewing residential loan application files for completeness and compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Works with processors, underwriters, and borrowers to complete loan applications and collect other documentation as needed.

Examines, evaluates, and recommends approval of customer applications for loan origination Responds to phone calls and emails from borrowers and internal employees.
Actively markets the company&039;s mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community.
Ensures all compliance requirements, including company policies and federal and state regulations, are met.
Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if borrower and property meet company and regulatory standards.
Recommends loan application for approval or rejection, or requests additional information.
Establishes terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews with customer.
Ensures that company customer service standards are met.
Ensures all loan decisions are made within established time frames and in compliance with lending policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Communicates loan decisions to all involved parties within established time-frames.
Troubleshoots and resolves customer and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, accurate manner.
Maintains a delinquency rate at or below branch/region expectations of loan portfolio.
Maintains a chargeoff rate at or below branch/region expectations of loan portfolio.
Develops and maintains knowledge of all mortgage products and rates within the company and from the mortgage industry.
Maintains appropriate licensure for all loan origination activities.
Completes assigned tasks accurately, within established department deadlines.
Provides friendly, accurate, professional service to customers and employees by responding promptly to messages and correspondence.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 2-3 years mortgage experience is required.
State licensure as a loan officer or willingness to get licensed is required Encompass experience is a plus Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Interpersonal Skills : Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information, which may require some discussion.
External contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) and requires ordinary courtesy in providing assistance or exchanging factual information.
Physical Requirements: Requires effective communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and computer equipment.
Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents.
May require the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time.
May also require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment: Position will often be in a busy office environment.
The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential.
