Loan Analyst

Loan Analyst:

Jewish Free Loan Association is seeking a full time Loan Analyst to join a growing team and assist in managing our Emergency loan case load.

This will be a full time temporarily remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates living in the greater Los Angeles area.
The position includes but is not limited to; scheduling client interviews, conducting client interviews, summarizing client’s stories, processing of loan documents, data entry, and some office support for an enthusiastic and dedicated team.

The ideal client must have excellent communication skills in all aspects (Verbal, Non-verbal, Written, Oral, Face to face), must be a compassionate and empathic individual who has patience and deep cultural sensitivity.

Essential Responsibilities:

 Evaluate new and perspective clients based on their needs, limitations and request
 Address client concerns and goals while maintaining constant communication with client
 Build a rapport with clients and their guarantors
 Determine client eligibility for the organizations loan program
 Provide client and guarantors with the necessary documents to complete the loan application in an expedited fashion
 Provide client and guarantors constant updates on their application status
 Access computer databases to verify and update client information accurately
 Prepare completed loans and present for a weekly loan committee meeting
 Confidently advocate for all clients and have a strong knowledge of the documents being presented during the loan committee meeting
 Generating client stories for marketing needs on a weekly basis
 Assist all staff with projects on an on-going basis

Applicant Requirements:

 Excellent communication skills; attentive listening, strong writing skills, demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally

 Strong attention to detail and accuracy; assuring data entry, records and reports are accurate and true

 Professional knowledge of principles and practices of social work
 Flexible, collaborative attitude and ability to comfortably interact with clients of varied socio-economic levels and diverse backgrounds

 A desire to help people in financial need and provide a trusting environment where clients can safely share their thoughts and concerns

 Ability to work independently and prioritize work load
 Spanish speaker preferred but we will consider all applications based on qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree required
 Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software strongly preferred
 Ability to utilize local communal resources

Education and Experience:

5 years of experience in Social Work and/or closely related field, preferably in the non-profit field with demonstrated customer service experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.

Excellent computer literacy required including knowledge of
Salesforce/CRM, Excel, Outlook and Word.

Must be well organized, detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary commensurate with experience

– $60,000.00 per year
