Litigation Secretary (long-term contract position)

National law firm has an immeidate need for an experienced Litigation Secretary to join their Downtown Los Angeles team in a long-term contract capacity to assist with high-level litigation. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • E-filing with state and federal courts 
  • Drafting and proofreading correspondence with clients, courts and opposing counsel
  • Generating and editing TOCs & TOAs using Word Styles 
  • Legal calendaring for the team

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience complex litigation experience; Medical Malpractice and/or Elder Law experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Macros and Word Styles
  • Knowledge of court rules and civil procedures at the state and federal levels; appellate experience is a plus 

*Position will work remotely but requires the person live local to the Los Angeles area as you will need to go into the office on occassion throughout the course of the project.
