The Litigation Paralegal/Legal Secretary must have at least 2-3 years of extensive litigation experience.
Litigation Paralegal/Legal Secretary responsibilities include: Drafting and formatting legal documents Assisting with trial preparations, including binders, motions, pleadings, and discoveries Providing attorney support as needed Managing cases from start-to-finish Handling calendaring, scheduling, and docketing E-filing through State and Federal courts Preparing expense reports, travel arrangements as well as attorney billing Additional requirements of the Litigation Paralegal/Legal Secretary role include: 2-3 years of experience in litigation is a must Business litigation is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Westlaw, PACER, and other legal software programs Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of e-filing and calendaring is a must Strong knowledge of filing deadlines Successful candidates for the role are proactive and professional with a positive can-do attitude.
Someone who works well in a team and can handle tasks under minimal supervision would be a good fit for this role.
