Litigation Assistant

Boutique labor and employment and business litigation firm located in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time, qualified Legal Administrative Assistant with 3+ years of litigation experience. This position will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and office support to partners, associates and paralegals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery
  • E-filing documents and preparation of same in accordance with local court rules
  • Indexing and maintaining client files
  • Preparation of case binders
  • Calendaring case-related deadlines
  • Monitoring and tracking discovery deadlines
  • Scheduling and coordinating depositions
  • Preparing/processing expense reports
  • Overflow support as needed

Experience/Qualifications

  • High school diploma, some college preferred
  • 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Best Authorities
  • E-filing pleadings with various state and federal courts
  • Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of document management systems
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
