Choose a job that helps kids to “Build Skills For Life” JOB DESCRIPTION Barron Lifeguards warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Deck Supervisor with any requests and tasks Assist teachers with equipment Follow the 15/5 protocol throughout your entire shift If the deck supervisor leaves the pool area, you must walk the pool deck the entire timeframe Pick up all wristbands from each teachers lane throughout the shift Assist deck supervisor with any crying or troubled students on the pool deck Enforce rules and regulations to all students Perform first aid procedures when necessary Keep the pool deck clean and in order to prevent any safety hazards Complete the lifeguard section for the closing report Follow the emergency action plans when they come up Schedule: consistent, flexible, and willingness to substitute Positive, nurturing attitude with students and employees Be a team player and have a positive attitude Follow Barron’s mission and core values Education/Certifications
