Job Description Labor and Employment Law Firm Seeks a smart, swift, industrious, paralegal or experienced legal secretary. Experience in employment law preferred and those candidates will be given serious consideration. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have experience with: Completing legal forms Preparing routine client letters Scheduling appointments and follow up consultations Filing with the court (e-filing for state, federal, and appeals) Contacting court clerks and other law firms Should possess the following: Good communication skills, ability to write emails and conduct phone calls with other attorneys and potential clients Good writing skills and command of the English language. Knowledge of the basics (what is a summons, complaint, discovery, etc.). Ability to speak with and interact with our clients. Customer service skills are a must. Ability to use a computer with experience with formatting documents, table of contents, indexes, tables of authorities, Wordperfect, Word, Excel, Adobe, using printers, copiers, fax machines and other standard office equipment. Ability to get things done in a timely fashion and work efficiently. Initiative and ownership of projects. Ability to problem solve and create proposed solutions.
