About This Role:
As a member of the QA team at Crexi, you will be a champion for quality across the company.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about quality, collaboration, and delivering the best experience to Crexi’s users.

As part of a growing team, you will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality standards for all of our deployments, in helping to improve current QA processes, and in adding to the QA team culture.

As the in-house expert on our public and internal systems, you will have the chance to work with, and add value to, all parts of the organization.

What You’ll Do:
You will lead and support a team of 1-2 QA engineers to ensure that all features meet our standards of quality before release, and that any issues found after release are documented, triaged, and resolved in a timely manner.

Additionally, you will collaborate with QA leadership to quantify and track team effectiveness and drive process improvements.

  • Own the testing strategy of each Sprint, delegating to team members and overseeing progress and test coverage.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of test documentation
  • Assist in developing and implementing a test automation strategy and test data management strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to determine that testing solutions will meet business requirements.
  • Participate in Sprint planning meetings and design reviews where you will provide guidance to Product and Engineering with regards to testing.
  • Participate in regular regression testing of the Crexi platform.
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans and strategies for new features and feature improvements-
    – both manual and automated.
  • Verify, document, and track platform defects and fixes.
  • Work closely with our internal support team, product, and engineering, to drive bug prioritization and resolution.
  • Report metric analysis and reports to relevant stakeholders to provide an understanding of the quality of the product.
  • Drive best practices in all aspects of testing and mentor junior team members.

Who You Are:

  • At least 4 years of experience working with manual testing techniques and approaches to deliver high quality products.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading a team.
  • A solid understanding of the full application lifecycle from inception to maintenance.
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and data.
  • Have an understanding of test automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Web technologies, protocols and formats ( HTML, JSON, REST, XML, etc)
  • Experience utilizing issue tracking and project management software as well as other testing tools (JIRA, Postman, TestRail, etc.).
  • Proactive and value clear communication.
  • A strong problem solver with a drive to improve processes.
  • A team player who excels in a collaborative work environment.

Pluses:

  • Knowledge of Javascript, SQL, Kibana, SEO testing, Sentry, AWS
  • Experience with Cypress for automation
  • Familiarity with Git and Git tooling
  • Experience working as a part of a technical support team using JIRA ServiceDesk or something similar.
