Lead Photonic Engineer, El Segundo, CA
Boeing Phantom Works is looking for an Photonic Engineer for advanced optical space payload capability.
Position Responsibilities:

Will transition technology development into a space qualified design.

Will work with system, mechanical and electrical engineering team members to assure compliance.

Will also interact with suppliers for technical evaluation, assessment of capabilities, and Statement of Work development.

Ability to work with a diverse team with overlapping responsibilities
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

5+ years’ experience with integrating optical components and assemblies into a payload design meeting environmental and technical performance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
