Lead Knowledge Analyst

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Lead Knowledge Analyst (LKA) inside BCG’s People and Organization (POP) Practice Area with a focus on the BCG U topic, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, workshops, and other domain-specific accelerators). You will serve as content expert and advisor to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping to structure and solve complex client issues around talent & skills efforts. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

Internally, you will also support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, building workshops or knowledge sharing sessions, and developing marketing materials. Additionally, as a Lead Knowledge Analyst, you will support intellectual property & assets for the business and be responsible for onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise, as well as manage a small team of junior members.

In the People and Organization Practice Area, we focus on Organization Design & Operating Model, Talent & Skills, and Change Management, Culture, & Purpose. Within the Talent & Skills topic, we focus on delivering leading edge talent management solutions across the entire employee lifecycle, including accelerating upskilling at scale. Client upskilling and reskilling is a rapidly growing topic and plays a critical role in winning and successfully delivering large-scale business transformations, especially in the digital space. As LKA, you will support across all domains, with a specific focus on the development and deployment of best practice solutions in client upskilling, reskilling and broader capability building.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Solving client problems through formulating and presenting your expertise in people strategy & talent management and upskilling topics
• Managing and successfully delivering many initiatives with multiple milestones
• Collaborating with and building genuine relationships with multiple stakeholders to identify complex problems and implement solutions of the highest good to all
• Building client-ready deliverables In Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Contributing to conversations with senior stakeholders, in a credible & confident way
• Executing new intellectual capital in your areas of expertise
• Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement; advanced degree preferred
• 6-10 years’ experience in people & organization related consulting experience, with expertise in Talent & Skills and upskilling topics; 4+ years consulting experience across People & Organization topics
• Strong subject matter expertise on the areas within the talent and skills life cycle; previous experience in corporate L&D, L&D-related consulting, Coaching, Executive Education is strongly preferred
• Track record of collaborative team management of at least 2 direct reports, with strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience of working in a matrix organization – and a passion for people development
• Demonstrated international exposure and comfort in working via video/conferences with global team members / counter-parts
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (both verbally and in written form) with all levels of seniority, including a track record of collaboration across groups of varying level of seniority.
• Autonomous; self-motivated while being a trusted team player
• Ability to tolerate ambiguity and lead through change
• Fluency in English

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG’s Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA’s business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
