About the role:
- Start with a case load of 20, and work your way up to managing 50 (mix of pre-lit and litigation). Managing these cases will come with a dedicated and excellent support staff, great technology, AI automating workflows, calendaring, weekly meetings created for you, etc.
- Expect to settle roughly 24 cases a year with an average settlement at about the $250,000.00 mark.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Supervise a caseload exceeding 40 cases.
- Develop case strategies to effectively navigate legal complexities.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and diverse legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions meticulously.
- Oversee the discovery process to ensure thoroughness.
- Initiate and engage in settlement negotiations.
- Maintain ongoing client communication, delivering regular case progress updates.
- Provide guidance and supervision to legal support staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in employment civil litigation.
- Trial experience is not required, but desired.
- Hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school & maintain an active California bar membership in good standing.
- Demonstrate a track record of effectively managing caseloads and achieving favorable case resolutions.
- Exhibit strong legal research and analytical skills.
