Position Overview Within the Hand Tools, Accessories, & Storage Group of Stanley Black & Decker we are currently looking for a Test Technician to support the Abrasives team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of testing to qualify or analyze product performance.
The Abrasives product category includes but is not limited to Bonded and Coated Abrasives, Wire Wheels, and Diamond Blades.
In this position you will be responsible for producing prototypes, testing samples, maintaining test equipment, working with engineering and sales team to develop/modify testing procedures, and building and maintaining SOPs and documentation.
Position involves close coordination with manufacturing, marketing, industrial design, and customer base.
Responsibilities Sample Testing: Run and maintain test rigs Measure metrology, record test results, and write test reports Stay on top of multiple test requests and samples Deliver results on time as needed for the project Prototype Production: Run and maintain pilot line Mixing, Pressing, and Baking Deliver product on time as needed for the project Participate as a cross-functional member of the Abrasives global business team focused on speed, quality, and cost objectives Engage in continuous personal and team development, including participating in training, process improvement, project reflection, and education.
Product focus will primarily be bonded abrasives; the category includes coated abrasives, diamond blades and other material removal accessories.
