Description:Job Location: Torrance, CAJob ID: AS20212007-65765Job Description:Defines operational and strategic operational excellence approaches to ensure business success by developing, sustaining, and continuously improving business processes and customer satisfaction. Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Determines current performance, forecasts future performance, and builds and manages detailed project plans to implement improvements and/or corrective actions. Deploys strategy across all functional areas and processes by utilizing Lean tools and Six Sigma principles. Collaborates with segments and/or functions to identify opportunities and influence improvement initiatives, business processes, waste reduction, training and the culture of continuous improvement. May analyze new business requirements and identifies and recommends the most effective approach and resolution to issues. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, and compliance with procedures, etc.Job SummarySubject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes, and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.Essential FunctionsFacilitate and Lead cross-functional site/corss-site improvement and strategic eventsLead large-scale, cross-functional improvement events yielding high dollar savings and efficiency returnsUse of Lean tools defining gaps between current state / future state and create action plans to eliminate waste and streamline processesUse of Six Sigma tools and DMAIC methodology to solve complex problems and reduce process variability.Analyze data and metric performance to prioritize improvement events that directly affect favorable division performanceCreate visual standards and management key performance indicators to drive an environment of continuous improvement.Identifying and facilitating improvement opportunities in transactional and operational areas of the organization using Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and Production Planning Process (3P) workshops.Train, educate, and mentor in the use of improvement tools and methodologies.Other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of current relevant experience in manufacturing environments including improvement event facilitation, improvement coaching, and leading organization wide improvements.Project ManagementSix Sigma Black Belt Certification or equivalentStrong written and oral communication skills requiredStrong skills in Microsoft Office requiredSkills in data collection, organization and analysis tools, including Minitab, SQL, and/or JMPExperience with MRP systems and business financial measuresPreferred Additional Skills4+ years in electronic manufacturing environmentsSupervisory experienceProgram ManagementDefense Industry Experience
