Job Description:

At Umgee, we create all of our content in-house.

The Junior Photographer position is part of our Studio Team – the heart of where all of Umgee visual content is created.

The Umgee Studio Team creates all visual content for e-commerce, trade shows and social media platforms.

You must have high attention to detail, understand brand direction and embody the Umgee culture.

You must demonstrate a positive demeanor, have good verbal and written communications, and must be professional at all times.

The Junior Photographer will be on standby to take over half-day to full-day photo shoots as scheduled by the Studio Team Manager.

Additionally, you will assist with photo editing, styling, lighting, sample preparation and overall studio maintenance when needed.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing high quality digital images of models and products for websites
Organize and transfer photographs taken; Perform retouching and image adjustments after photoshoots
Ensure high level of technical quality and aesthetics for all photographs created and distributed
Organize the studio making sure all props and equipment are accessible; Maintain clean work area
Recommend creative ideas to exceed expectations of goals and objectives in the Visual Marketing department
Key Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with camera (Canon EOS digital camera) and lighting equipment
Ability to showcase photography skills and provide assistance to the team manager
Strong interpersonal skills and effective relation building with other departments and models
Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task
Must be proficient with Macintosh OSX and Windows operating systems
Must be knowledgeable and skilled in Adobe Suite, Microsoft and related programs
Able to coordinate, make good decisions and adapt to the changing schedule and environment
Excellent time management skills and be able to complete photoshoots on time
Interest in fashion, particularly women’s fashion and the ability to learn new trends and adapt to the new trends
Additional Requirements (Education, Training and Experience)
Associate degree in major coursework in Photography, or related discipline highly preferred
Minimum of two years studio photography or freelance work experience required
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00
– $18.00 per hour
