OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: The IT Project Implementation Specialist (PIS) is the hands of the IT Project Management department. The PIS is responsible for executing technical tasks required for the deployment of Projects both on-site and remotely as well as completing associated documentation outlined in Comprehensive Project Scoping Sheets. The PIS will carry out administrative activities in accordance with standard operating procedures as issued and set forth by the Nexplay Corporate Office. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Great Interpersonal communication abilities, written and oral. Ability to work independently and manage processes to produce a high-quality work product. Interact with vendors to support hardware and software. Be customer service-oriented and deliver implementations according to defined client and project requirements and policies. Enjoy problem solving as part of a diverse and collaborative team. Excellent numeric, literacy and keyboard skills. Fluency in Office 365 and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP and network troubleshooting. Operational knowledge of Oracle Opera PMS or Micros Simphony or another type of POS system. Experience with hotel systems. Network troubleshooting –physical connectivity, basic configuration of switches. Troubleshooting phones, tablets, desktop support. A and Network certification preferred. Be interested in developing new skills and learning new systems and technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: Engages in hands-on IT Project deployment and implementation tasks in order to achieve project completion with efficiency, effectiveness and excellence according to Nexplay’s Project Management methodology. Build good working relationships with customer stakeholders. Follow the defined project plans. Execute implementation tasks including onsite installation and remote configuration. Ensure implementation tasks are on track to keep projects are delivered on time. Suggest improvements to company-defined processes to help projects run more efficiently. Report and escalate all project risks including potential scope changes to Project Manager. Assist with creating internal and client documentation for handoff to Helpdesk. Manage confidentiality with tact and integrity as requested by Clients or Nexplay Management. Coordinate schedules with management to visit client sites, including the transportation & delivery of equipment from the Nexplay office to the site as necessary. Rack & turn-up Servers, switches, UPS, and rackable gear in conjunction with Infrastructure Department. Set up temporary networks to support pre-stage deployment (ex: set up conference room for the POS vendor to use for staging of POS workstations prior to deployment). Manage patch cable routings in a clean, efficient manner. Deploy WIFI access points or controller gear in conjunction with the Infrastructure Department. Prepare and Deploy POS workstations, printers, KDS. Test/troubleshoot POS and networking problems including integrations with other required applications. Prepare and Deploy Credit-Card Pinpad Devices. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software and network issues in conjunction with deployments. Manage user provisioning for Nexplay-managed systems involved in deployment including Microsoft Office365, Bittitan Migrationwiz, Active Directory, VPN, WIFI. Support Vendor provisioning for vendor-managed systems. Manage domain, email and document tasks for migration projects, including domain DNS. Support end-users on deployed systems until handoff to Helpdesk is made. Maintain and ensure full and complete documentation of tasks, plans, network diagrams, meetings, deliverables, and accomplishments. Available & willing to help with other Project Management support tasks. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience : Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technology role, or successful completion of Nexplay internship. Hospitality experience is advantageous. Education : Computer technology degree preferred. Technical Skills : Intermediate knowledge of end-user hardware including Workstations, Laptops, Monitors, Docks and other peripherals; and end user software including Microsoft Office, and core business applications. For Hotel Clients, familiarity with: Oracle Opera PMS, Oracle Simphony POS and other hotel applications is advantageous. Standard Administrative proficiency regarding Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file and print sharing. Proficiency with email administration, especially: Office365, G-Suite. Proficiency with standard networking hardware such as Cat6 cabling, switches, patch-panels, and protocols such as TCP/IP. Experience with the effective use of remote management software such as Remote Desktop, etc. Language : Required to speak, read and write English. Physical Requirements : Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 35 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding. Must have a valid drivers license & insurance, a dependable car which is maintained in a presentable way and proficiency at navigating within a 50 mile radius of the candidate’s focus-city.
