The Deskside Support Engineer will report into the LA IT Operations Manager and is responsible for providing on-demand deskside IT support for WPP employees and visiting clients. The role is also expected to provide general deskside IT and AV/VC support for various WPP events on as-needed basis

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver world class technology support services to WPP employees and visiting clients, operating within predefined structure, methodologies, and standards set by WPP IT
  • Support hourly billable employees to ensure no billing opportunities are lost due to IT issues.
  • Log all IT engagements into a ticketing system to ensure IT demand and performance data can be reported upon
  • Ensures that WPP and WPP IT policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the local Facilities Management team, business leaders, and IT leaders to ensure all upcoming business events are properly supported from IT/AV/VC perspective.
  • Desktop/laptop tech support, both Mac and PC.
  • Laptop builds based on WPP specifications for both Mac and Windows hardware.
  • Support local and remote employees in an efficient, courteous, and expeditious manner.
  • Support IP phones (MS Teams), printers, wireless, VPN, etc.
  • Support mobile devices, including iPhone and Android.
  • Serve as the 1 st line of support for all technology issues.
  • Respond to move, add, and change requests.
  • Facilitate documentation for inventory control, purchasing, receiving, and auditing.
  • Monitor systems used to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks associated with Office Services include presentation set up/tear down and printer scheduled maintenance.

Who you’ll be working with:

What you’ll need:

  • Must have MacOS and Windows OS experience
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and proactive spirit with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Able to uphold a positive attitude at all times, even under stressful conditions.
  • Experience supporting 100+ people and remote staff.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging, rapid-response user support.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
