Job Description Vodastra Technologies is seeking a Hardware technician to join our team You will be resolving cable related issues. Qualifications: Activities likely to be undertaken include (however are not limited to): Rack and stack of Hardware Equipment. Power cycling the network devices Providing remote access of Network devices to Wipro Engineer via remote access utilities like team viewer Configuring the network device with basic configuration provided Wipro Network Engineer Install network patch cables as necessary for equipment installations. Work with Alcon / Novartis and wiring/cabling Third Party contractors to ensure wiring/cabling is properly installed and secured in accordance with the requirements of the Service Provider. Providing visual inspection of the cage and equipment inside the cage and look out for warning lights. Providing readouts on current state of the system including reading out error messages, or describing the color of an indicator lights. Providing the picture of the room & devices. Physical asset tagging (tags will be provided by client) as applicable and report. Unwrap/unbox Hardware and dispose of waste material properly. Replacement of the hardware part like line cards, power supply, sfp, fiber patch cables. (Parts are out of scope for dispatch partner. Parts will be organized by client’s spare pool. For inwarranty items, partner will be required to coordinate with OEM for parts, if applicable.) Notify Novartis Facilities if any of their equipment is in an alarm state. Unracking and repacking of network devices and shipment of devices to Networking Vendor (Shipping labels will be provided by customer) Relocating equipment within room or to new location. Assist to Update and upkeep of rack diagrams and ensuring accuracy of information UPS, power and cooling, physical maintenance coordination Tech MUST have his/her own tools and transportation.
