REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Finance and Administration

FLSA: Non-exempt

Hours: 25 hours (M-F, generally 2pm to 7pm)

Salary: $17 p/hr

Start Date: December 2021 or January 2022

POSITION SUMMARY

HOLA’s IT Assistant is responsible for supporting in-house tech infrastructure for students and staff.

This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.

The IT Tech will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide user training and assistance where required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with day-to-day maintenance and trouble-shooting of the technology systems
Provide support to users on computer system and software applications
Provide technology setup for programming/events
Assisting with tech support in classes during programming hours
Assists with inventory, repair, maintenance and replacement of all technology equipment
Collaborates with Senior Director of Finance and Administration to establish goals and priorities for technology solutions
Maintenance and troubleshooting of computer system hardware and software
Install, remove, and move computers and cabling when necessary
Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
Be available on an on-call basis for any technology needs

May perform other duties as assigned
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to be a strong role model for youth during all working hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Familiar and comfortable in server management, multiple operating systems, hardware installation/support
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Experienced in prioritizing and multi-tasking in a busy work environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
College degree or currently in college preferred
Acts ethically, responsibly and with utmost integrity
Maintains highest standards of conduct and comportment
Sets personal standards of behavior that serve as a model to others

VACCINATION POLICY

Heart of Los Angeles requires its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to certain exemptions as required by law.

New hires working at Heart of Los Angeles must be fully vaccinated no later than 60 days after hire and until they are fully vaccinated will be required to submit weekly proof of negative laboratory COVID-19 test and submit to additional masking and social distancing requirements.
