Inventory Control Analyst

An instrumental part of GOAT Group, the Inventory Control team oversees the products that enter our facilities.

The products are the heart of our operation and tie our sellers and consumers together. 

We are looking for an Inventory Control Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data and product.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and solutions oriented marketing and business background – with a hunger to make companies grow.

You will be responsible for building, planning, executing, analyzing, and optimizing the data that drives inventory strategies and processes within the GOAT and Flight Club network.

As an analyst of the Inventory and Asset Protection team, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of our current data models and reporting standards.

In addition, you will be given opportunities to develop data-driven insights and recommendations to help improve our warehouse and retail processes.

You will be on the cutting edge of analysis, leveraging our data sources to propose new ideas and drive key strategic decisions through both offline and online efforts.

In this role you will:

  • Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related issues that lead to variances and exceptions. 
  • High level communication of relevant reports, data, and analysis to operations, inventory and asset protection leadership
  • Draft inventory control reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and shrinkage
  • Build comprehensive data dashboards that provide a high level overview of network performance of cycle counting, shrink, facility to facility transfers and exceptions. 
  • Analyze large subsets of data to create focused and actionable exception based reporting.
  • Analyze order and product status’ that lead to inactive and stale products within the network.
  • Build relevant data and proactively highlight and communicate trends that negatively impact network inventory performance
  • Execute routine facility audits and cycle counts
  • Provide regular reporting on facility performance and compliance 
  • Mine data and analytics to gain a better understanding of the product supply chain within facilities and proper resolution of exceptions handling
  • Provide detailed analysis on network wide transfers and communicate exceptions to inventory and operations leadership
  • Partner with engineering teams to provide relevant solutions and systemic improvements based on large sample data analysis 
  • Collaborate with operations and inventory management on process improvements based on deep dive analysis 
  • Optimization
    – Analyze inventory department tasks to provide insight on process inefficiencies and areas of improvement

We are looking for:

  • 2+ years experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of quantitative or statistical analysis experience
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse and retail inventory analytics and supply chain
  • An analytical mindset, with advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, third party analytics, and attribution platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to effectively communicate data into insights and actions
  • Familiar with inventory tools, systems and processes in retail or warehouse setting 
  • E-commerce experience a huge plus (either in web or mobile)
