THE ROLE

In this role, Steel Sports will provide our Interns with opportunities to have extensive experience working with youth by providing basic sports strategies, and good communication skills.

This role will ensure all youth team members enjoy an engaging and uplifting sporting experience.

This position will report to a Senior leader within the department and will have direct interaction with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Our internship opportunities are involved with Sports Management, Social Impact, Brand & Communications, Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance, Social Media, Events, and more.

Responsibilities
Marketing: Creating, Strategizing, and Implementing one high profile summer event
Events: Plan and run a summer fundraising event to raise awareness and funds to support Steel Sports
Social Media: Content creation, schedule, management, strategy, and overall engagement
Video: Ability to compile and edit videos for Social Media, internal presentations and marketing promotions.

Availability to shoot video is a plus.

Camera equipment accessible not mandatory but a positive.
Graphic Design: Ability to create a variety of finished art for flyers, posters, collateral, logos, social media, web content and Steel Sports branded materials.

Ability to produce all of these materials as print ready art for printers and vendors.
Social Impact: involvement and engagement within our program
Public Relations: News Releases, media alerts, community service, and outreach
Finance: Provide general accounting support.

Assist with accounts receivable management.

Provide support for annual budgeting process.

Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects.
Executive Assistant/Administration Assistant: assist in the day-to-day executive operations, support the SVP of Operations and our , support special events, and.
Communications, Business Administration, Sports Management: writing, editing, and proofing marketing materials
Participation and involvement within our Foundations of Positive Coaching
Additional duties: assist with research, observe Steel Sports workshops or other projects as needed.

Requirements
Be responsible, flexible, hard-working, ethical, and committed to the mission of Steel Sports.

Currently attending college or university pursing a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Physical Education, Sports Management and social media or a recent graduate.
Possess a high level of organizational skills and be detail oriented.
Possess solid oral and written communication skills.
Be social media savvy.
Be able to operate standard office equipment.
Be able to multi-task and meet established deadlines.
Possess an interest in Marketing, Events and social media.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Detail oriented.
