Intern

Main Purpose: Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction project site. This position is normally one of independent project supervision on small to medium size projects. Key Relationships: Internal Superintendents, Project Manager, Contracts ManagerShop Manager/Dispatch, Mechanics, Technicians, Laborers, Equipment Operators, Administrative StaffSpecific Role Responsibilities: Daily Assistance with logistical phases of project functionsTrack: Labor/Equipment/Productivity/ and production time and analysisInterface with Contractors, Superintendents and Project Managers as neededChange order execution and trackingProject BillingMaterial cost Tracking and ProcessingSome travel to remote job sites as needed.Plan Take Offs, specification interpretationAssist with coordinating crews and timelinesDaily reporting of project progressRepresent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, unions, etc., as requiredPerform additional assignments per supervisor’s directionTravel: Daily to various job sitesIndustry KnowledgeMinimum of 2 years in CIM (Concrete Industry Management )Related construction experience.Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing plus motivate work force important.Excellent interpersonal skills essential.Lift & move 45lbs or moreStrong Mechanical AptitudeWilling to work in weather conditions that may be adverse (hot/cold/rain)Computer/Office Machines – Microsoft Work, Excel, OutlookEnglish – proficient in business writing and verbal communicationValid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required when duties require use of motor vehicleAbility to pass pre-employment and random screening for illegal substancesHigh Level Math SkillsPenhall Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
