The Boeing Phantom Works Multi-Domain Capabilities (MDC) Team creates the next generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business and is currently looking for a Lead Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer (Mid-level -Senior)​ to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

The Phantom Works MDC Team focuses on developing new communication platforms for problems that exist today and developing new solutions for the future. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies through our multidisciplinary team. Our team works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

We are seeking a Lead Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer to manage and oversee all facets of the program’s integration and test activities. The candidate will have the responsibility of building up and taking ownership of the test laboratory. The candidate should have experience in laboratory/test environment set up and operation, integrating hardware and software, developing test plans and procedures, championing laboratory safety and providing network administration support for laboratory software needs. The Integration and Test Lead will coordinate with the Project/Program, Engineering, Facilities, Supply Chain and Security to ensure adequate requirements are properly flowed and implemented to meet program needs. The successful candidate will play a critical role on the PW MDC Team ensuring successful hardware and software processing / integration to meet mission objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead integration and test planning and execution (including functional validation as well as formal requirements sell-off).
  • Lead test environment set up and break down.
  • Write test plans, procedures and test reports.
  • Identify test equipment and network needs.
  • Champion laboratory safety.
  • Conduct daily 5s and ensure laboratory cleanliness standards are met.
  • Provide admin support for laboratory and test needs.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Assist with risk reduction activities and issue resolution.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): (see required education/experience for this level below)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • 3 or more years writing test plans.
  • 1 or more years leading test environment set up and break down.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Lead integration and test planning and execution (including functional validation as well as formal requirements sell-off).

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 3 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for mid-level: $104,550 – $141,450

Summary pay range for senior level: $128,350 – $173,650
