Instrumentation Analyst, Olympic Lab

Responsibilities

The Instrumentation Analyst at the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory will be responsible for chemistry assay for GCMS, IRMS and LCMS analysis of urine extracts, maintenance and set up of the instruments and checking data for passing criteria.

Salary range: $27.09-$43.58 Hourly

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in mass-spectrometry techniques and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of different analytical chemistry principles, including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and immunoassay
  • Physical dexterity and ability to load and operate autosampler mechanisms
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Must be able to work weekends or holidays as needed

Not required, but a plus if you have the following:

  • Knowledge of ions and retention times for GCMS/LCMS/IRMS
