Part-Time Instructional Aide (Tutor)
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Instruction , the Instructional Aide will provide instructional support and academic growth monitoring.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide academic tutoring and support to students, both in an out of the classroom setting
Recess and Lunchtime Supervision
Assist with Parent/Student Meeting Data preparation
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF:
Model positive behavior
Middle school academic standards and grade level requirements
Bilingual communication skills preferred (Spanish)
REQUIRES ABILITY TO:
Build positive and constructive relationships with students
Maintain high expectations for growth for struggling students
Model positive behavior
Keep and maintain accurate records
Communicate in oral and written form with individuals from varied cultural and educational backgrounds
Work cooperatively with students, parents, school personnel, and representatives of community organizations
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent interpersonal skills
CPR and First Aid trained preferred
Ability to communicate and collaborate with children and adults
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate (B.S.
or B.A.
preferred)
Experience working with school age children
Bilingual in English and Spanish
