WhiteFox Defense Technologies, Inc.
is seeking an experienced IT Specialist in its San Luis Obispo Headquarters or LA metro area.
As an IT Specialist, you will be charged with setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems that WhiteFox uses to maintain the operation and security of computer and software networks.
Responsibilities
Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems Implement security measures Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems Install and update company software and hardware as needed Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items Maintain internet connectivity, back up information and troubleshoot glitches and other problems Inspect, repair, and place hardware Audit system behavior and monitor firewalls to protect sensitive information and uphold cybersecurity protocols Basic networking and configuration 10% travel possibility, with overnight stays between SLO and LA office depending on location Assist the IT team in larger projects and implementation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or similar major or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of experience or relevant experience Working proficiency of relevant operating systems, software, and programming Working proficiency of Azure AD & Microsoft 365, with an emphasis on the Government Community Cloud-High (GCC-High) environment Working proficiency of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related services Keen attention to detail Good organization, documentation, time management and prioritization Efficient troubleshooting abilities Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening Great customer service and interpersonal skills Must be eligible to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) access requirements
