Please come wearing appropriate dance attire. Dance combinations will be taught at the audition. Dancers should be able to perform in a wearable puppet costume that weighs up to 30lbs. for three (3) times a day for up to 30-minutes at a time. Storytellers: Seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) storytellers who are engaging and comfortable with improvisation during guest facing interactions. Materials will be taught at the audition. Please come prepared to improvise and tell a 30-second story both fluently in Spanish and English. Those who would like to be considered must attend an in-person audition. Please park in the Western Employee parking lot (8189 Western Ave. Buena Park, CA 90620) located between La Palma and Crescent on Western Ave. Please proceed to Western Employee Park Entrance where a Knott’s Berry Farm representative will escort applicants to the audition area. Photos backstage of any kind are not permitted. Video submissions will not be accepted. Seeking a diverse spectrum of gender identities, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Please bring a photo and resume. Rehearsals begin in May and might include evening and overnight shifts. Performance dates will take place on select days from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Dates are subject to change.For questions, please email KBF.auditions@knotts.com. Responsibilities:Using your talents to enrich Knott’s Berry Farm’s atmosphere for guestsWorking as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directorsConsistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceivedRemaining in character while “on?stage and in view of guests and interact with guests while performing in a professional and artistic mannerProviding guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directionsMaintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisionMeeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair’s attendance policiesAdhering to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and proceduresPerforming other duties as they are assignedQualifications:Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends nights and holidays Willingness and ability to wear make?up and costumes for extended periods of time in varying California weather conditions and temperaturesAbility to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
