Sodexo is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I for an opportunity with PIH Health located in Los Angeles, CA.

 

ISE I Position Description:

Under direct supervision, this person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems. Participate in on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.

 

The ISE 1 will possess: 

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, ultrasound, etc.)
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required

Technical Duties and Responsibilities of ISE I:

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
  • Knowledge of basic networking theory
  • Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and standards
  • Knowledge of safety precautions when servicing high voltages and working with ionizing radiation
  • Ability to analyze electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to isolate, test, and replace defective parts
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests
  • Ability to run diagnostic programs
  • Skills in testing electronic, radiologic, and mechanical equipment
  • Skills in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision

The role will focus on customer needs and ensuring all HTM related functions are completed in a quality and timely manner to include medical device preventive and corrective maintenance and other related matters. Ideal candidate will have experience and training in biomedical equipment role/field and the capably to serve a wide variety of customer needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Reuqirement – Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment

Basic Functional Experience – 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training
