As an In-store Digital Selling Expert at Bloomingdale’s, your primary objective is to respond to customer’s requests to chat while they are browsing on Your goal is to serve as a Bloomingdale’s merchandise & service expert, helping customers identify their personal style needs, answering general questions, and ultimately guiding their purchasing decisions while online.

Through various technology applications, you will reconnect with those customers and continue to offer your service and inspire additional shopping opportunities.

By leveraging technology on POS, you will promote and sell store-only merchandise in addition to the assortment that is offered online.
All technology applications to connect with customers will be available on company provided devices.

Essential Functions:
Flexibility to manage customer interactions coming in through multiple online platforms
Uses outreach tools to connect with customers and build relationships, inspiring multiple purchases
Put customers quickly at ease; Instantly connect with customers to build comfort and trust
Connects customers to instore experts when appropriate
Is an expert on product and style, and sells with a confident fashion voice
Actively uses styling and selling technology to deliver the customer experience and drive sales
Sells the Bloomingdale’s Loyallist Charge Card as the best way to shop at Bloomingdale’s
Maintains positive working relationships throughout the company
Collaborates with other digital selling experts and central team to provide the best customer experience
Works closely with the Store’s Omni Selling team to effectively leverage selling tools, building competence & community
Seeks out product knowledge and shares expertise with peers
Qualifications and Competencies:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years related experience
Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
Ability to sell and build a sale through conversational interaction
Enjoys meeting and interacting with customers; strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedures
Able to easily engage in conversation
Social ease and quick response to customer needs and inquiries
Able to maintain composure in difficult situations
Detailed oriented about product knowledge
Able to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
Physical Requirements:
Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and climbing ladders
Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
