We aim to be the Go-To Human Services Employer in New York City.The HR Specialist is responsible for all new hire processes, ensuring successful, timely and accurate on-boarding of new employees (specifically benefit enrollments).

The HR Specialist has direct oversight responsibility for all benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide operations support to HR Compliance function that includes, but is not limited to:Successfully implement all new hire practices, including offer letter generation/delivery, payroll setup, and timely review, processing and recordkeeping of required compliance documentation (e.g.

applications, background check authorization forms, I-9 information, other regulatory materials, and forms).Provide complete overview of employee benefits including health, dental and vision to new employees during on-boarding and open enrollment periods.

Ensuring completeness and accuracy of all data entry tasks related to maintaining/updating accurate personnel records in agency’s HRIS database.Provide ongoing employee communications during orientation and throughout the employee life cycle.Overseeing consistent adherence to regulatory and internal policies.Back-up role for selected HR Compliance tasks and responsibilities, as assigned by the function manager on an as needed basis.Have direct oversight responsibility for all benefits enrollment and communication with staff that includes, but is not limited to:Responsible for the benefits presentation for new hires, ensuring PowerPoints, benefits packets and enrollment forms are up to date and presented to staff in a clear manner.Participate in open enrollment information sessions, responding to staff questions within 24 hoursRespond and follow-up on all Benefit Hotline and Email box inquiries.Process all benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes (Including dependents aging out).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in related discipline, with one or more years direct HR or recruiting experience required.
