Full administration of payroll using Dayforce software FMLA administration Responsible for calculation and submitting union dues, initiation and pension monthly payments Responsible for end-of month reporting including metrics and accounting reporting Track employee union increases Partners with Employee Shared Services on various activities including: Hires, Transfers, Promotions, Separations, Retirements, Disability, FMLA, etc.
Register all new hires in Dayforce Ceridian Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Maintains accurate records within Human Resources system and compile reports from database Ensures that all HR administrative functions are handled in an accurate and timely manner Manages bi-monthly HRIS audits Completes EDD requests Liaison with union benefits and accounting representatives Engages in the interactive process meeting with employees on FMLA
Requirements
Some college or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in human resources performing as a payroll specialist or Generalist, ideally in a 24/7 manufacturing or distribution environment Experience in a union environment having processed dues, initiation and pension Knowledge of Federal and State laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.), practices and procedures PHR or SHRM-CP certified preferred High level of comfort in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), time keeping systems, and HRIS.
Mid to Excellent Excel skill level
