POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Review resumes, screen applicants, and maintain applicant tracking database

· Assist in coordination of staffing and recruitment processes

· Track and document compliance with mandatory trainings, continuing education, and work assessments.

· Administer applicant reference check to verify past employment

· Reinforce company policies, rules, and procedures

· Monitor timekeeping and producing daily attendance reports

· Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.

· Maintain physical and digital files of employees, including, onboarding, benefits and attendance records

· Handle employment-related inquiries from candidates and employees.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

· Perform other duties as necessary

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

· Must be detail-oriented and very organized.

· Superb time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.

· Ability to act with integrity and professionalism, while exercising discretion

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

· At least 1-2 years of human resource management experience required

· SHRM-CP a strong plus.
