HR Coordinator – Employment Contract

**Note: This positon will be as a 12 month employment contract**

Primary Purpose

Assist with managing the recruitment process to fill exempt and non-exempt positions. In absence of Staffing Advisor or Sr. Staffing Advisor, provide guidance to hiring managers/internal clients on staffing processes and procedures. Act as point of contact with external candidates during pre-employment contingency process.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Facilitate the pre-employment process, including requesting background checks and coordinating drug screens. Review background checks and raise issues and concerns to Staffing Advisor or Staffing Manager.
* Administer pre-employment testing to include the workplace assessment and the various testing batteries required for pre-employment.
* May coordinate or assist with the recruitment & selection process for exempt and non-exempt positions for assigned client groups or hiring managers.
* Respond to employee and external candidate inquiries about the interview and job application process. Provide updates and direction to hiring managers on the job requisition process.
* Research, collect, analyze and/or administer information from Human Resources databases as related to staffing. Prepare and manage the administration of various reports.
* Attend recruitment events and networking opportunities in order to attract qualified and diverse candidates to the Company. Educate public about career opportunities, company mission, vision, values and goals. May provide recommendations on recruitment strategies and recruitment events.
* Assist in conducting new employee orientation (NEO). Recommend enhancements to NEO program. Educate new hires and employees on company benefits, policies, procedures and other relevant information.
* Assist in conducting panel interview training and tracks training attendance.
* Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications Education

* H.S. Diploma/GED High School Diploma or GED certificate. Required
* Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources, related business field, or equivalent experience or training. Preferred
Experience

* 2 years – Increasingly responsible experience related to employment/talent acquisition support to include interviewing and/or screening applications. Required
Skills and Abilities

* Good knowledge and understanding of Company policies, practices and operations related to employment and the placement of qualified applicants. Beginner
* Requires analytical ability and judgment in conducting interviews and in screening applicants. Objectivity must be exercised in determining qualifications and recommending selections. Beginner
* Requires tact, diplomacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate
* Must have excellent computer skills especially MS Word and Outlook. Intermediate
* Solid team player and able to work independently. Intermediate
* Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Affirmative Action and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Beginner
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant and employee information and materials. Advanced
Licenses and Certifications

* Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification desired. Preferred
