Come join our team!Reporting directly to the Senior HR Business Partner and supporting our West region, the business partner is an experienced HR professional, who has a broad experience in human resources. The partner builds a valuable relationship with internal customers and transfers requests and solutions to/from the plant, support functions, shared services and corporate. The partner supports and works collaboratively with the SR HRBP. The partner actively supports discussions and transfers HR best practices to and from different plants and functions in the organization. The Partner assesses and anticipates HR-related needs communicating proactively with the HR department and their designated HR Region to develop integrated solutions that reflect the business objectives of the organization.Major Responsibilities:Builds a strong business relationship with the internal customers to include operations, SSC, support functions, and corporateActs as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people managementManages workers comp issues in coordination with the safety team and bring timely resolution to claimsProvides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues with support from Sr. HRBP. Conducts effective, thorough, timely and objective investigations.Responsible for separation processes including exit interviews, employment documents, payroll coordination and meetings as employees transition out of Bodycote.Maintains an in-depth knowledge of CA legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.Bachelor s degree (ideally in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained); PHR preferredMinimum five years of increasing HR generalist responsibility, i.e. must have touched several of the key areas of HR supporting a business: handling employee relations, compensation decisions, recruiting and performance managementMultisite experience is a plusSystems savvy comfortable with use of IT in HR, and automationSound knowledge of US Federal and State labor laws.Strong working knowledge of CA labor laws and practices.Bodycote has a longstanding commitment to provide a safe, quality-oriented and productive work environment and for these reasons all applicants in the United States who receive a conditional offer of employment must undergo a drug screen before employment begins.EOE/Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran
