HR Benefits Coordinator

Summary:

Under the direction of the HR Manager, the Benefits Administrator (“BA”) will assist with the planning, development, implementation, communication and administration of the employee benefit programs and services.

The BA will also assist with other HR duties as assigned including but not limited to LOAs, Paid Time Off (PTO) and New Employee Orientation; assists with the formulation and implementation of new policies and services necessary to maintain and improve the goals of the Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, but are not limited to following:
To assist with the development, recommendation, implementation and communication of all benefit programs and policies to meet the changing needs of the Company and its employees.
To report, maintain and reconcile unemployment compensation claims, and the company’s retirement plans.
To communicate and administer company benefit plans in a way to effectively produce positive employee relations through good employee understanding and prompt and accurate administrative services.
To develop and maintain statistical data about proposed benefit changes to predict future benefit costs and assist the H.R.

Manager in the decision-making on possible benefit improvements.
To undertake the necessary outside employee benefit related activities to remain current with all aspects of benefit planning, administration and communication.
To be responsible for the proper administration of benefit program costs and billing invoice reconciliation.
Process terminations and conduct employee exit interviews when needed and directed.
Type and compose routine and non-routine correspondence.
To assist in the responsibility of file maintenance, record keeping and database systems.
To assist in all other H.R.

areas and duties as assigned.
To assist in the recruiting process when necessary or as directed by the H.R.

Manager.

EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
B.A.

degree preferred, or a Certificate in Human Resource Management, or 3+ years’ experience working in an HR/Benefits Administrator capacity.
Proven stable employment history.
Experience working in the social service, non-profit industry preferred.
Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and must have sufficient knowledge in computer operations to ensure its accurate and efficient use as a reporting tool.
Strong computer skills (proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, WordPerfect and Excel).
The ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Exercises discretion and holds confidential any business and personnel matters pertaining to the Weingart Center Association.

Mandatory mask mandate in place, continued social distancing, limited physical in-person meetings, extra care goes into ensuring safe, sanitized workspace.

Temperature screenings upon arrival into any facility.

– $24.00 per hour
