HR Benefits Analyst

Addison Group is seeking an HR Benefits Analyst for a client in Tulsa OK Pay: 60-75k DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as primary point of contact for all employees or HR inquiries on benefit-centered issues.

Researches all necessary details in order to provide informed and accurate responses.

Provides all necessary support required by benefit vendors to maintain the company benefit plans.

Researches and analyzes benefit plans and wellness initiatives for industry trends, benchmarking data, and effectiveness to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values to increase employee retention.

Works with company Officers and HR Director, to design and recommend benefit plan changes, distributing materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and develops content with the insurance broker.

Analyzes administrative costs and prepares budgetary forecasts to recommend changes to ensure efficiency and savings, including alternative methods for administration and funding.

Works directly with the organization’s HRIS vendor, benefit providers, and the Accounting department to ensure accurate billing and payment processing, including review, reconciling, and applying budget coding for monthly employee insurance bills to be processed through the payroll vendor.

Manages open enrollment meetings, partnering with brokers on scheduling, and facilitating on-site and/or virtual meetings.

Manages plan terminations, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), short-term and long-term disability applications, and more.

Provides ongoing customer support and communication to employees in regards to benefits, including developing and facilitating training to increase employee benefit package comprehension.

Manages Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance including monitoring measurement period, timely enrollment of newly eligible employees, and annual Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting and distribution of tax forms.

Assists with Developing, implementing, and maintaining wellness initiatives.

Supporting team to provide STD and benefit-related paperwork to payroll administrator prior to payroll deadlines.

Cultivate strong and positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization to provide advocacy and enhance understanding of the Institute’s benefits and wellness plans and processes.

Successfully manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Continually research new benefit and wellness programs to design quality benefit plans and improve efficiency while ensuring our plans meet the needs of our employee population.

Utilize data (internal demographics, routine surveys, etc) to recommend benefit plan changes and new offerings that would best serve our employees.

Ensure a robust and effective employee onboarding program, partnering with HR recruiters to continually refine and assess its effectiveness.

Complies with federal, state, and local requirements by following policies and procedures.

Interface with other departments to provide good service.

Display good safety and housekeeping practices.

Uses materials and equipment effectively.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

Qualifications: High school education or equivalent.

3 years’ experience administering employee benefits required with demonstrated knowledge of benefit and wellness best practices.

Extensive experience with an Online Enrollment Benefit Program Understanding of data file management Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations.

Strong attention to detail required.

Ability to handle confidential data and meet deadlines.

Must have computer knowledge and a proficient knowledge of Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills to build and maintain trust and strong relationships with employees at all levels and external vendors in order to drive results.

Knowledge of Paylocity preferred.

AS-400 knowledge preferred.
