As an HR Assistant, you will support the day-to-day functions of the HR Department, while infusing cultural values throughout the organization and positive workforce practices.Essential Job Functions Payroll processing, conducting wage, meal, rest period and hour auditsAssist in sourcing, screening, background checks, interviewing and orientation Assist with benefits eligibility reports and ongoing enrollment notificationsAssist in processing New Hire Orientation, separations, and processing of manual checksAdministers and designates leaves and ADA/FEHA casesAssists in the development and enforcement of Company policies, procedures, and best practicesAssist with company recognition programs, events, and celebrationsAssist with compliance audits and employee relations mattersAbility to exercise discretion and independent judgementOther duties as assigned Skills & Abilities Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employmentComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365, ATS systems and other computer applicationsStrong communication, listening, presentation, writing, and assessment skillsSelf-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to go the extra mile when needed; an ambitious drive and understanding that great things take time, energy, and persistent hard and smart workQualifications1-2 years of HR experience or in a similar roleBA Degree in HR, Business, Communications, or another related field preferredBilingual in Spanish requiredExperience with ADP Workforce Now preferredMust possess a valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements Ability to work extensively in an office environment, occasional travel may be requiredMay be in a stationary position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a dayUse Computer and keyboard up to 8 hours a dayOccasional lifting, bending, stooping up to 35 lbs.Reasonable Accommodations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
