Position Summary
Samsung TV Plus is an industry-leading FAST (free ad-supported TV) and VOD (video-on-demand) service reaching 24 countries and 500 million devices globally across TV and mobile. One of the first FAST platforms, Samsung TV Plus now offers more than 250 channels in the U.S. and nearly 2,000 channels globally, along with thousands of shows and movies on-demand. FAST is the fastest-growing video segment amongst consumers and FAST ad spend is expected to surpass that of Broadcast/Cable (combined) and SVOD within the next three years. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the exploding and ever-evolving FAST space and play a key role in driving the growth of the TV Plus business.Role and Responsibilities
The TV Plus team is looking for a Head of Program Management who will build and grow our program and project management function. They will carry equal parts strategy and execution, and have the opportunity to build out a scalable function that can evolve with the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have the strategy, best practices, tools and techniques to establish an operating model for program and project management for the team. They should be excited by the opportunity to tackle large-scale ambiguous problems, possess a strong point of view, be willing to continually challenge the status quo, be comfortable wearing many hats and possess a decisive, “get it done” mentality. This individual will implement standardized structure and processes for managing cross functional complex projects and programs. They will set up monitoring and control mechanisms to keep track of progress against roadmap commitments for the organization. They will establish and operate communication mechanisms and forums to update leadership and stakeholders on project progress, provide oversight for teams, and remove obstacles.

Responsibilities
- Setup a PMO function for the org, establish and apply program management best practices and standards across teams, unifying operations and driving consistency.
- Work closely with stakeholders and design frameworks and templates for project/program management including project planning, monitoring, status reporting, etc.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, identifying and resolving dependencies across workstreams, managing the overall schedule, and keeping it updated
- Handle day-to-day activities necessary to keep the project moving, providing accurate project status and updates to teams and leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies for timely and high-quality completion of projects.
- Drive improvements to current processes while building scalable and growth-oriented team.
- Regularly update all stakeholders on the status and dashboards (i.e., team members, cross-functional departments, managers, and executives).
- Foster a culture of trust, cooperation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 15+ years program management experience managing large complex projects.
- 5+ years of experience managing program managers.
- Unparalleled organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple competing projects and priorities at any given time.
- Proven ability to problem solve through relationship building and collaboration.
- Experience with PMO frameworks and structures.
- Experience with project management tools and software (e.g. JIRA & Confluence).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertain situations, and drive clarity.
- Attention to detail and quality; striving for continuous improvements.
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $225,000 and $270,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
