Head of Product

Summary

Come be a cultural leader and help the Project Ares team establish a new Product organization and guide product development through research, design and cross-department collaboration. A new leadership team has aligned on the need and desire for strong customer representation and customer-focused product development. To reach this goal we are looking for a Head of Product to join other department heads and drive design culture, collaboration, and partnership across the organization. This role is all about inspiring change through practical methodologies, new relationships and organizational alignment and vision to help our teams deliver the right solutions for our customers.

What will make you successful in the first 6-12 months

  • You ‘ll forge strong working relationships with all department heads, understand their constraints and objectives and develop a strategy to support them.
  • You ‘ll establish a new research and design practice that introduces key insight, sets clear product direction and specifications, and leverages skill and perspective from the rest of the organization.
  • You ‘ll successfully identify and design product features that impact revenue and you ‘ll work with other departments to realize them.
  • You ‘ll organize and prioritize feature development based on highest feasible value for shorter term delivery and highest business value for strategic planning.
  • You ‘ll integrate new methodologies and improve the velocity and quality of feature development
  • You ‘ll communicate and evangelize product vision with clarity and transparency.
  • You ‘ll attract, retain, mentor and develop and outstanding and motivated team of UX professionals.
  • You ‘ll monitor market and technology trends and identify opportunities for new product innovations.
  • You ‘ll be seen as a company and industry thought leader and inspire team members to push the company and industry forward.

Skills and qualifications

  • B2B SaaS and marketplace experience required
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Strong ability to recognize, quantify and communicate value
  • Design, technical and business aptitude; depth to command respect of engineering and cross-functional team members
  • Skilled at presenting and gathering feedback on product direction with non-technical stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Demonstrated success building relationships internally and externally
  • History of recruiting, developing, and inspiring great talent in product and design roles
  • Outstanding communications, presentation, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional listening skills and openness to differing points-of-view and new ideas
  • Professional, high-integrity, organized, driven and results-oriented

What is your responsibility

  • Serve as product lead within the company, establish vision and orient the roadmap to short- and long-term revenue generation
  • Synthesize input from a variety of sources to meaningful and actionable strategy
  • Align cross-functional efforts through meaningful relationships, process and methodology
  • Introduce and establish a research and design practice
  • Track product evolution and improvement through KPIs, learnings and measures
  • Drive brand quality and market fit
