Your Purpose

In this very hands-on role as Head of People, you’ll develop talent, leadership, and culture for our Americas team.

You will be part of a global People team which creates and lead programs that celebrate and expand our ever-growing team.

You’ll also be responsible for ensuring a safe, supportive, and productive environment for everyone.

Your Focus
Your contribution will include:
Act as a tactical partner to senior leadership and Chief People and Culture Officer while shaping company initiatives based on people and data insights
Create and implement robust strategies for personal and professional development & growth, total rewards, internal communications, and employee engagement for the America’s aligned with the overall Global People strategies
Align People initiatives with company qualities and attitudes by creating teams short
– and long-term objectives
Provide strategic and operational leadership to the People Partnering team
Work with the GM, executive leadership team and Global Rewards Team to set compensation and benefits policies and strategies for all team members in all functions at the company
Develop policies to uphold legal standards and promote our Qualities and Attitudes
Conduct investigations, recommend, and implement corrective actions, and counsel Team Members and Leaders – guided by our policies, process, industry best practices, and relevant labor laws
Experience in Industrial Relations and apply employment legislation across the US states
Ensure our core People processes (e.g., performance management, compensation planning, surveys, 360 reviews, workforce planning, employee handbook, policies and compliance) and systems (payroll and benefits, internal communications and support) are aligned to distinguish Aaqua as an Employer of Choice in the America’s
Develop and track equity, diversity and inclusion metrics.
Manage allocated budget and participate in forecasting cycles
Establish processes to set clear goals and accountability across the America’s People Team

Your Journey

Ideally your career journey to date will have given you experience in or exposure to the following:

5+ years of HR ops, talent development and retention in Tech or Start-ups environments.
Extensive experience across the full spectrum of People function including, Organisational Development, Learning & Development/Training, and Talent Management
Direct experience or knowledge of hiring practices across the USA States and wider America’s including Canada and South America
Track record of developing and implementing people programs, especially for diversity & inclusion or personal & professional development
Proven ability to execute and monitor effective compensation plans across an organisation
Track record of execution on forward leaning strategies to maintain strong bench strength
Proven ability to build effective partnership and coach Executive Managers, Leaders, and Team Members
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or any other relevant field or equivalent work experience
SHRM or SPHR certification

Given your epic background, you will have deep skills and proven experience in the People function, with relevant educational qualifications.
