Head of People

Our expanding company is seeking to hire a Head of People to join our fast growing team.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Head of People will build from scratch all teams and processes that allow us to successfully recruit, onboard, train, develop and retain our high performance employees.

As the Head of the Culture department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our values are lived daily.

A successful candidate will Bleed Orange, and go to great lengths to ensure all new hires, current employees, and by extension our customers, are aware of and buy into our values.

First and foremost, the Head of People leads by example.

This will be a tough job but also an incredibly rewarding one helping the CEO build upon what we believe to be one of, if not the most, competitive advantage we have: our student built and driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Duffl Values are lived throughout the company
  • Build and lead all aspects of people operations to include talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, laddering, performance evaluations, and retention
  • Working closely with the General Counsel to ensure compliant workplace practices and strategies are in place
  • Developing programs to attract an expanding decentralized workforce of student employees
  • Ensure the effective onboarding and training of new team membersResponsible for people data reporting and records management, in addition to owning our HRIS platform

Requirements

  • 7+ years as a People team leader, preferably in early-stage growth startups
  • Compassionate, thoughtful leadership
  • A proactive way of working and communicatingWillingness to be flexible and scale with a changing environment
