Head of Partnerships

Description:

Our client is a venture-funded technology company that enables businesses to tell data stories about their customers. They use data science to predict future buying behavior of consumers and recommend actions that businesses can take around those predictions. They are seeking a Head of Partnerships to help unlock the full potential of key initiatives through business relationships and partnerships. The perfect candidate will have demonstrated the ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, and to work cross-organizationally to build agreement.

An understanding of the economics of the martech space and the eCommerce ecosystem is a bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, model, evaluate, and implement partnership strategy from conception to execution, including partnership proposals, commercial terms, go to market strategy, and negotiating deals that result in meaningful revenue and company ecosystem growth
  • Stay abreast of key industry trends to make recommendations on new partnership opportunities
  • Articulate the strategic direction internally and externally
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to launch partner integrations and drive the future direction of products in the development pipeline
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders through technical expertise, domain knowledge, and understanding of stakeholder perspectives both internally and externally

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with a proven track record of strong execution in SaaS enterprise sales and management experience of a partnerships team (hyper-growth startup experience preferred)
  • Bachelor ‘s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or other relevant field or equivalent experience (MBA a plus)
  • Track record of scaling partnerships teams at a regional or global level, with history of leading teams to outperform growth expectations
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Background and experience in contract negotiation
  • Ability to quickly gain a deep knowledge of the partners ‘ business, current economic and industry trends and potential new business opportunities
  • Experience influencing technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization
  • Track record of success within a start-up environment and a desire to build something big
