The Opportunity
Our Head of Merchandising will focus on delivering and executing actionable insights, analyses, and recommendations that inform day to day business and long term strategy for Company. This role will lead the team in choosing the right categories, products, and brands for Company ‘s marketplace. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and continuously deepen expertise across a wide range of categories.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute the marketplace merchandising strategy to drive revenue goals and allow users to navigate and search Company effortlessly
- Mentor and develop a team, set team ‘s goals and vision, enabling them to do their best work and continue to grow within our organization
- Drive merchandising optimization and digital revenue across the platform using defined performance metrics
- Prioritize essential products, categories, and brands to be featured on our platform based on our strategic business objectives, trends, markets, and consumer insights
- Partner with product management, design, and marketing teams to establish marketplace business requirements to increase order volume and retention
- Drive and execute Company ‘s product merchandising strategies across key cities, creating assortments that meet our sale and margin goals
Our Ideal Candidate Must Have
- 5-7+ years of merchandising experience, preferably in CPG
- 4+ years prior management and team leadership experience
- A strong product sense and aesthetic with a proven track record of driving digital revenue growth through merchandising strategic initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high growth environment while shifting priorities
